Well, All I have to say is, who wouldn't feel like smiling at everyone if they were in this woman's shoes? She shouldn't be bragging, it could be taken away someday. Yes, I am disgruntled because my spouse and I are seniors and barely scraping by on Social Security and are actually looking for jobs. Really feels sort of weird but, You do what you feel you have to. In fact, I am trying to apply for a greeters job at Wal-Mart. I would manage a smile regardless of my situation because I do love people,I think I have the personality for it, and above the love of God in my heart. Sincerely, Diane McBride Smith

Thank goodness for Wal-Mart Greeters by: Ernie
I love it! What an incredible story! The woman in the story certainly is rich far beyond the million dollars. Truly, that's the way we should greet everyone we meet, no matter how rude they may be to us, with a warm smile and a friendly attitude. Now that in itself is worth a million! Thanks for sharing.

WalMart Greeter! by: Anonymous
That's also MY dream job! No papers to grade, no grade books to carry home and work on all weekend, no lesson plans to write, and I would be paid for being nothing but nice! As a retired middle school math teacher, used to teenage attitudes, this would be a pie job!

This has been a running joke for my best friend and me. We decided to stay in education for a few more years because we couldn't quite see ourselves being a greeter at Walmart! LOL!
