Musician on a cruise ship.

This is my dream job. I just have no idea of how to make the dream come true.

I play piano and flute. I'm really good. Better on the flute than piano I guess but I'm really good on both. I average playing at about 35 weddings per year.

Several years ago I went on a cruise. During dinner a dance band played and since then I've thought a lot about how much I'd love to get a job playing with a band on a cruise ship. I think I'm good enough to do that but I have no idea how to go about finding a job like that. I've checked with cruise ship job listings and things like that but the musicians are never mentioned.

I retired from teaching in 2006 and since then I've been thinking a lot about how I'd like to try and do this but thus far I've been very unsuccessful in even finding out how to go about applying.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cruise Ships
by: Anonymous

A cruise ship or cruise liner is a passenger ship used for pleasure voyages, where the voyage itself and the ship's amenities are part of the experience.
